Do I Need to Tell My Boyfriend I’m Freezing My Eggs If I’m Not Planning to Marry Him?

I’m 36 and my boyfriend of 6 months is 26. We’re both intellectually inclined, somewhat quirky people and I look about 10 years younger than my age. We’re deeply in love and are quite compatible. The reason I’m writing is that I have decided to freeze my eggs and I don’t know whether or not I should tell him about it. On one hand, I think I should be forthcoming about such an important topic. On the other hand, I don’t believe that he has seriously considered the idea of marriage and fatherhood and I don’t expect he would at his age. I don’t want

Congratulations to Jenny and Adam from Andover, Massachusetts!

Love is life’s greatest reward. Jenny is so happy and grateful she found a rewarding love with Adam. She writes: “I met Adam on Zoosk and there was an immediate connection. We went on a long bike ride on our first date. It was so refreshing because I’m normally used to dinner and a movie. On the date, I

One Big Predictor of Divorce: The Husband’s Job

These two opening paragraphs in this New York Magazine article validated what I’ve been discussing here for nearly a decade. With one new wrinkle:
“Despite the myths you might have heard, half of American first marriages don’t end in divorce. In reality, about a third do, down from the divorce surge of the 1970s and 1980s, though second and third marriages are much more vulnerable. Recent marriages are doing particularly well thus far: Just 15 percent of the Americans who tied the knot since 2000 have decided to get it undone within the first eight years of marriage.
The predictors of divorce, however, remain mysterious. But in a new

What Can I Do About the Stressful Living Arrangement with My Boyfriend and His Children?

My boyfriend and I dated for seven months and then he asked if I wanted to live together. I was excited and said yes. We agreed we’d live in my place since his lease was coming to an end. After my lease ended, we agreed that we would move into a bigger place to accommodate his three children that he has partial custody of. I found out later that he was evicted from his place, which makes me wonder what his real intentions for wanting to live together were.

For the last 19 months his children and I have been living in my one bedroom condo.

Congratulations to Antonio and Georgia from Cedar City, Utah!

One day, someone will walk into your life and make you see why it never worked out with anyone else. For Antonio, that someone was Georgia. He writes: “We first met on Zoosk, and within 3 days of speaking on the phone, we decided to meet up in person. The moment Georgia walked up the stairs and into

(Video) Tony Robbins & Marie Forleo: What It Takes To Have an Extraordinary Life

I’m not going to give this a preamble.
I’m just going to encourage you to block out an hour and watch this from beginning to end. It’s two self-help superstars, Marie Forleo and Tony Robbins, at their finest – funny, authentic, vulnerable, confrontational and super insightful.
Forleo, whose B School program was the inspiration for my Love U, interviews Robbins about his movie, “I Am Not Your Guru.”
She intersperses her interview with clips of Robbins on stage and the results are riveting. I would annotate this entire thing for you, but if you’re short for time, go to:
9:00, 16:24, 22:00, 26:10, 29:18, 34:15, 42, 53, 55, and

Should You Date Against Your “Type”?

My thesis – as well as most relationship experts’ thesis – is that what you’re most attracted to isn’t necessarily good for you, nor compatible in the long run. The answer to your compatibility woes is usually much more nuanced. Thus, you’re not giving up on your type; you’re trading off on certain qualities in order to find a better long-term-fit for your life.

How Can a Sexy Woman Like Me Show Men Online I’m Not Up for a One Night Stand?

I recently made an online profile in the hopes of trying to find a man that I can connect with on a deeper level than the past. I’ve tried to learn from my past mistakes in dating and grow from them and I figured trying online dating would help widen my dating pool. The main problem I have is men only being interested in me for sex or being blatantly sexual when they first approach me. I am a very attractive black woman with a curvy body and I often feel like guys want black women for sex, particularly men of other races.
I’m frustrated

Home

I’ve been working hard and I’m pretty satisfied with how the job is going. I need to find more opportunities for the company, part of the problem with the private sector, but the work itself I’m mostly enjoying. Or not enjoying because it’s a challenge—and that’s good too!
I got a bunch of new living room furniture in December and I love it. New couch, rug and coffee table. Sold the mid-century set I had and kept the old IKEA sofa. Good decision. Next step is some new bookcases for the dining area, where I currently keep most of my books. I got an estimate from
