Emilia Clarke Biography
Emilia Clarke was born on 1st May 1987 in England, London. She grew up in the countryside of Oxfordshire where her interest in acting developed right from childhood. Her mother often took her to the musical Show Boat, on which her father was a sound engineer. Her fascination in acting was further enhanced by her many trips with her father to theatres.
After Emilia graduated from secondary school, she was taken into the much respected Drama Centre London. This esteemed institution brags of having produced the likes of Tom Hardy, Colin Firth and Michael Fassbender, among others. She did a number of small roles on TV as she pursued her studies. In 2011, she earned her biggest break, a role in Game Thrones portraying Daenerys Targaryen.
Clarke attended St. Antony in Rye and St. Edwards in Oxford. She was an active member of the drama department during her study years. She was featured in Twelfth Night and West Side Story. In addition to falling in love with performance, Emilia also took singing and guitar playing lessons.
In 2009, she finished her studies at the Drama Centre and focused on building her career. The first TV role she landed was on BBC’s series, Doctors. She also appeared in a number of commercials. The following year in 2010, she got a more significant role in Triassic Attack. But as much as she had an early break on TV work, Clarke used to do several day-to-day jobs so as to make both ends meet.
Most gossip tabloids and columns have often linked Emilia Clarke to a romantic relationship with Seth MacFarlane. The two dated for some months. She has also been associated with her Breakfast at Tiffany’s co-star Cory Michael Smith. The most relationship she has been linked to is one with Jai Courtney.
